Common Questions About NRE Preparation

Do I need to pass Step‑1 before applying for Step‑2?
Yes — this is a strict PM&DC rule. You cannot register for or sit NRE Step‑2 without a valid Step‑1 pass certificate. Your Step‑1 pass is valid for 5 years, so you must complete Step‑2 within that window.
Can I study for both Step‑1 and Step‑2 at the same time?
We do not recommend this. Step‑1 is theoretical (MCQs requiring clinical reasoning); Step‑2 is practical (OSCE stations requiring physical skills). Splitting focus reduces performance in both. Complete Step‑1 first, then dedicate 4–6 focused weeks to Step‑2.
I graduated from China — which course should I start with?
Start with NRE Step‑1 unless you already hold a valid Step‑1 pass. The biggest adjustment for Chinese MBBS graduates is the question style — Chinese university exams test direct recall, while NRE tests applied clinical reasoning. Our Step‑1 program is designed specifically around this transition.
Is there a WhatsApp or Telegram group included?
Yes. All enrolled students get access to our private Telegram group where notes, MCQ practice sessions, mock exams, and study plan guidance are shared regularly. Enrollment is via WhatsApp — message us to join and confirm your study timeline.
Are the notes on this website free?
Yes — the topic notes on the NRE Step‑1 and Step‑2 pages are free to read without registration. For the full preparation program (video lectures, complete MCQ bank, mock exams, station checklists, and group access), enrollment is required. Message us on WhatsApp for details.
